Dossier Zinfandel tracks the fascinating story of the 19th century arrival in America of a ‘mysterious grape’ of unknown origin. Featuring famous Zin-masters such as Paul Draper and Joel Peterson, along with famous Napa Valley winemaker Miljenko “Mike” Grgich who suspected first that his native Croatia was also the homeland of Zinfandel. Film historian Charles L. Sullivan and ‘wine detective’ Dr. Carole Meredith trace the roots of one of America’s most popular grape varietals.
After this premiere screening, please join the director, Milka Barišic, Vintner Hall of Fame inductee Mike Grgich, and many of the other winemakers who appeared in the movie at a private reception at Grgich Hills Estate (1829 St. Helena Hwy, Rutherford) for Zinfandel, hors d’oeuvres, and conversation. Space is limited. Credentialed festival-goers may attend,
but you must reserve your spot by calling the winery at 707-963-2784 or firstname.lastname@example.org. NVFF also offers a special $20 screening and reception combo ticket.
